Distribution of Intervention Toys

Ever since the first covid-19 case in Bhutan, ABS have been striving to engage children with disabilities virtually by giving them tasks online. It hasn’t been same compared to one-to-one intervention at the center however with support from parents/caregivers, Social Workers of ABS have been working on ways to engage them. Due to the pandemic, it has been our greatest worry to find ourselves helpless in situations where parents/caregivers do not have the capacity to cater to their child’s needs. However, with support from UNICEF Bhutan we were able to procure intervention toys and distribute it to families of children with disabilities in Thimphu. Through this distribution, we hope that children are more meaningfully engaged in learning and having fun.
