World Down Syndrome Day- We Decide

Today, 21st March 2020 is observed as World Down Syndrome Day across the globe to let all people with down syndrome know that we care. While the mass gatherings are cancelled, we would still like to extend our support for people with down syndrome and offer our prayers for the well being of all in this CONVID-19 pandemic.

People with disabilities, including people with Down syndrome, are at a risk of being impacted by the situation like any other people. “It is important that commitments to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are upheld at this time to ensure that the COVID-19 response is disability inclusive.”- DSI
