Workshop to Parents/Caregivers of Children with Disabilities

ABS with support from UNICEF conducted a workshop to the families/caregivers of children with disabilities from 5 chiwogs of Khamaed Gewog under Gasa district on 27th June 2023 at Bjishong Central School. It was also attended by parents of children without disabilities and other relevant stakeholders (Inclusive Education teachers, ECCD facilitators, Health assistant & community leaders). The workshop sensitized on the general awareness of disability, importance of early identification & intervention and ending violence against children particularly children with disabilities. Through this workshop the group was also formed to facilitate the support for families/caregivers of children with disabilities in terms of providing efficient services to their children. ABS will be conducting the similar workshop in Lingzhi Drungkhag
