Sensitization to the teachers

The sensitization of teachers on “Disability and Inclusive Education” was conducted in three different stations at Sarpang. A total of 62 teachers from 21 different schools attended the program. Although inclusive education practices are in place and all the schools welcomes children with disability, teachers are facing challenges managing the inclusive class rooms. They have trouble managing their routines and frequently experience routine breakdowns; learning and coping with new normal learning ways is significantly more challenging for them. Considering these challenges, this program mainly aimed at providing a basic knowledge on disability and its types so that teachers are able to provide basic classroom interventions. It also aims to address various inclusive education ideas and practices so that all children can learn and respective schools can create inclusive learning environments.
