Seminar on “Practices, Opportunities & Challenges for Inclusion of Out-of-School Children with Disabilities in Bhutan”
ABS took part in the seminar on “Practices, Opportunities & Challenges for Inclusion of Out-of-School Children with Disabilities in Bhutan” organized by Paro College of Education (PCE). It is part of the project entitled, “A Multi-Country Study on Educational Innovations for Out of School Children (OOSC) and Children at Risk of Dropping Out (covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal)” initiated by PCE. The seminar was also attended by M.ed (inclusive education) students and other relevant stakeholders. The implementing partners made a presentation on how the interventions are being undertaken to include dropped out children with disabilities. There was also a panel discussion on the current practices of intervention, opportunities and challenges in the service delivery and most importantly as to how we can sustain the intervention programs after the project completion. ABS is an implementing partner for this project and 3 dropped out children with severe disabilities are being benefited from this project.
