Outreach programme at Trashigang

Ability Bhutan Society team at Trashigang has conducted 2nd phase life skill development orientation to 6 children with disabilities in Udzorong with support from Dr. Thinley Dorji, Senior Medical Officer, Kanglung. Some of the areas of focus were motor development, communication, social skills, activities of daily living, etc. Parents/caregivers were equally guided on how to assist their child in becoming independent. Some children were also prescribed with some medication based on their condition.
In addition, sensitization to 30 religious leaders/monks at Trashigang Dratshang in the field of disability was also conducted with support from Mr. Loday Tshering, Health Assistant, Kanglung.
The project activities is with support from German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and DAHW Asia
