113th National Day

December 17 is celebrated as National Day, recalling the momentous occasion in 1907, when Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuck was unanimously crowned as the King of Bhutan. Under His leadership, Bhutan entered a new age of unparalleled stability and prosperity led by the incomparable leadership of our successful Kings.

Today, Ability Bhutan Society family celebrates the shared identity, our proud past, the spirit of unity and our desire for a promising future. Every year, services are being improved, more people are being sensitized on disability and the importance of inclusion. Till now ABS has provided intervention services to around 258 children with disabilities as well as empowered their families and caregivers. It is because of this unity that we have in the country that we are able to provide such services. ABS hope that more of such center is opened and cater to the needs of many children with disabilities prevailing in the country.
