ABS welcomes The New Executive Director

Ability Bhutan Society welcomes our new Executive Director Mr. Ugyen Wangchuk. He holds a Masters in Special Education from Ramakirshna Mission Vivekananda University, India, Bachelors in Special Education in from Andhra University, India and Bachelors in Education from Samtise college of Education. Mr. Ugyen Wangchuk brings diverse portfolio with him as he leads ABS. Previously he had served as teacher in Saprang Central School and has over 11 years of teaching experiences and management skills. During his tenure with Ministry of Education he was involved in various studies and workshops such as Action Research on Green School, Result Analysis for the year 2010 and did his master thesis on “The need and methodology to include Special Education as Subject in the B.Ed Curriculum in Bhutan. Mr. Ugyen Wangchuk has been very passionate about disability issues in Bhutan and has also been with ABS on deputation in the year 2016 as a clinical head. Moreover, he also conducted various training program on disability.

With his dynamic experiences and leadership, ABS hopes to reach greater height and bring everlasting positive changes in life of the Persons with Disabilities in Bhutan.
