Second Annual General Meeting
Second Annual General Meeting of Ability Bhutan Society was held on 14th April 2017 at Hotel Phuntsho Pelri. Dasho Kunzang Wangdi, Chairperson welcomed all: the board members, parents and staff, to the Second Annual General Meeting of the Ability Bhutan Society. He highlighted the important events and milestones successfully achieved during the fiscal year 2016. He also offered gratitude to Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen for the consistent guidance and morale support and expressed with gratefulness to His of Majesty The King for the Recognition with in the National Order of Merit – Gold. He pledged on behalf ABS Family to commit to work towards fulfilling the wishes of Their Majesties in uplifting the wellbeing of the differently abled Bhutanese. He also thanked Board and ABS Management for the hard work during the years and expressed his expectation for a meaningful year together to lead ABS ahead.
Ms. Beda Giri, Executive Director of the Ability Bhutan Society delivered presentation on Annual Report of the Organisation and covered the organization’s performances, clinical progress, achievements and projects completed in the year 2016. She attributed the success in the year to the inspiration received from Her Majesty, The Royal Patron and the support given to her by the Board, families and colleagues in ABS.
Mr. Ugyen Wangchuk, Head of Education Programme presented on the annual work plan for year 2017 which were in line with the Strategic Plan 2016-2020 of Ability Bhutan Society. He expressed his gratitude to ABS for the opportunity to serve on deputation for the last one year as he repatriates to join his parent Ministry.Mr. Pema Tshering, Treasurer of Ability Bhutan Society presented the audited financial statement of the year ended 31st of December 2016.
